Addie's First Day of Parents Day Out

The day finally came when my baby girl became independent and spent an entire five hours without me. IT WAS MISERABLE...for me. Addie LOVED going to her school but I think mainly because she was excited about her new backpack, lunchbox, and super cute sparkly shoes!

Oh my goodness! This picture makes me want to cry! Our babies are so grown up!

It was Cuddle's first day of PDO too!

Both of Addie's teacher's have British accents. We are really hoping she picks it up. :)

Addie didn't even kiss us goodbye. She saw the toys and was fine. We were shocked! I guess my baby doesn't need me as much as I thought she did. :(

Because we didn't get any pictures of Addie and Lorelei together that morning, we tried to snap a few when we picked them up. This did not work out as we had imagined. Both girls were grumpy from nap time and Addie had new blisters on her heels from those super cute sparkly shoes.

Tomorrow is day two of PDO and I am dreading it!!! Addie is excited though so I guess I'll let her go. This is so much harder than I thought it would be. Even though it is just two days a week I really really really miss having my little girlfriend hanging out with me during the day.

Jack's First Day of Kindergarten

WHEW!!!! This month has been INSANE!!!! August brought soccer practices, ballet classes, lots of birthday parties, a trip to Africa, and KINDERGARTEN!

We started our very exciting first day of school by waking up before the sun and eating pancakes.

Getting ready!Jack LOVES his spiderman backpack.

Jack putting his backpack in his cubby.

Colton, Jack and Daven

The boys...at least some of them.

Daddy's last pep talk.

Jack is obviously not interested in kissing Mommy goodbye.

Jack and his wonderful, amazing teacher, Mrs. Fields.

We didn't even get a wave goodbye.

This was Jack's first paper from Kindergarten. Mrs. Fields is trying to encourage Jack to write his name as "Jackson" instead of "Jack" and it came out as "JackPopeSon." I love it!

Jack's First Sleepover Party!!!

Jack had his first real sleepover at the end of the summer. We invited his favorite buddies and planned a fun evening of swimming, pizza, cookies, and staying up late watching movies (and apparently jumping off the playroom refrigerator...everyone lived with no broken bones.)

The boys were all ready to go swimming before I could grab my camera and take a deep breath from the chaos that occurred the second all the boys were in one house together. I sent them outside in hopes to save my house from total destruction. They immediately became mini soldiers or warriors and went running around the woods on an important mission.

After working up a good sweat in the woods it was time to set off to the pool. We are super blessed to live next to the Lawsons for many reasons but recently those reasons have increased because now they have an awesome pool!!!!!

Landon never really got of warrior mode. He was always ready for an attack.

One....Two....

Three! JUMP!

The fun really got going once Levi got into the pool with the boys. He set up some kind of wrestle match on the giant float and the boys LOVED it!

The rest of the night was a bit of a blur but after a couple of movies our cute guys finally passed out.

But managed to wake up at the crack of dawn. They all piled up into our big chair and zoned out on some Sonic Underground while waiting for bleary eyed parents to make pancakes and pour chocolate milk.

I think they all had a blast and Jack is already talking about his next sleepover. Hmmmm...I'm not sure that is going to happen for quite a while. I'm still recovering!
