Batman Wings

Jack has got into this Batman mode lately and he is able to make every little thing "Batman," hence the sexy open pajama top. That's right, he is pretending to have Batman wings, not pretending to be Hugh Hefner. Levi nor I could convince him to button up his shirt because his life depended on being able to fly away from bad guys. Makes sense.

We recently were stocking up on spring play clothes at Old Navy and Jack found a Batman shirt. I think I'm going to have to go buy a couple more because he wants to wear this shirt every single day and it is starting to look a little worn.

Jack's 4th birthday is coming up and I'm really excited because we are getting him and his cousin (Spoiler Alert, Stef) superhero capes. One side has Batman/Superman and the other has their own superhero symbol, such as a "J" or "R." The hardest part is going to be hiding them and keeping it a secret from Jack once they are delivered. I just know he will love it and I can't wait to see his little eyes light up. I will definitely take pictures of that moment!

Venus and Mars

I have never read that book about women being from Mars and Men being from Venus (or the other way around...not sure) but to just look at my kids it is completely obvious that God made men and women completely different. I had our cousins' kids over last week and the gjrls played dress up and posed for the camera while the boys ran around the house like maniacs with foam swords calling eachother Batman and Robin. (I was required to only call them by their superhero names as well. Jack actually refused to sit in timeout until I called him Batman and then he just pretended that he had been captured by a bad guy (me) and was waiting for Robin to rescue him. It was pretty cute to watch even if it did break the rules of timeout.)

This was the only picture I got of the boys. They wouldn't stay still long enough for me take any good ones...so finally during the girl's nap time I made them rest on the couch and watch a movie and I was able to get this one before they started bouncing all over the place again.
